Plot summary: A post-World War II story about the Kellers, a seemingly “All American” family living the "American Dream". However, the father, Joe Keller, has a dark secret - during the war, he allowed his factory to ship faulty airplane cylinders to the U.S. Armed Forces, thus killing 20 American pilots. Joe's son Larry dies in the war, and the revelation of this secret nearly breaks his remaining son Chris, a young man with a highly developed sense of morality.
