Plot summary: Hermia refuses to follow her father's order to marry Demetrius. She and Lysander escape into the forest. Hermia tells her friend Helena, but Helena, in love with Demetrius, reveals the plan to him. Demetrius, followed by Helena, chases Hermia. Oberon, king of the fairies, and his queen, Titania, are estranged because Titania refuses to give her Indian changeling to Oberon, since the child's mother was one of Titania's worshippers. Oberon seeks to punish Titania's disobedience. So he calls for Puck to retrieve a love-potion flower so that he can make Titania fall in love with some vile creature of the forest. Oberon streaks Titania's eyes with the juice while she is sleeping. Having seen Demetrius act cruelly toward Helena, Oberon orders Puck to spread some of the elixir on his eyelids of the young Athenian man. Puck messes it up, resulting in a mixed-up love quadrangle. – condensed from Wikipedia

Reviews: "A skittering, twittering masked First Fairy watering can in hand, heralded the play's other-worldly inhabitants - and how cleverly very human actors were dressed and produced to appear fey, thistle-down light and non-human. Wrapped in muted brown and yellow gauzes, these fairies squirrel-hopped in and out of the shrubs and trees backing the grassed curve of the stage - their enchantment culminating in a moon and star-lit, candle-studded balletic finale."
