Plot summary: The story of newlyweds Arthur and Violet Fitton, who are forced to live with the groom’s parents because they can’t afford a place of their own. The lack of privacy is so frustrating that Arthur is unable to consummate the marriage. What follows is a hilarious and often moving portrayal of the relationships between both couples.
